we’s some huge wu tang clan fans here. not a day goes by without listening to the wu tang clan classics or members of the wu.

WU TANG FOREVER!!!

word got around that rocksmith tokyo was going to drop new wu tang limited edition shirts, hoodies, leather coats and beanies so last week wednesday was when i finally got to place an order in with undergroundhiphop.com for my husband. the important thing to mention here is that UGHH put the stuff up early and had better prices than other sites. after googling for a promo/discount code, i came across one for $5 off, score! (tip: take the time to google for promo/discount codes before you make ANY online purchase!)

got the order in yesterday and wanna give a huge shoutout and thanks to undergroundhiphop.com – their customer service is fantastic, huge selection and their prices are better. not to mention that you can get freebies with your order. my husband chose the best of guru cd. shirts are $31.97 and hoodies are $61.97 – i’ve seen the hoodies listed at $72 on at least 3 other online shops. i’ve also heard people complain about the price, generic non-limited edition wu tang shirts are about $20, pay the extra $12 for quality and exclusivity and stop bitching!

the verdict? rocksmith puts out quality product. definitely stuff the fans want. was genuinely surprised to see the MADE IN USA label. i love little details like the wu logo – the almighty “W” and OG limited edition on the tags. those little details matter and if you think they don’t, you don’t pay attention or care for what you sport.

it’s been a long time since i left you…

2009 was an interesting year. most of it good, the worst was the debit card fraud. i try not to let that shit get me down and it definitely made us more careful and aware, another lesson learned. i think the best thing that happened to us last year was starting school.

my husband’s sister [v] and her family came out during christmas week. we all had such a good time. which brings me to 2010. already one month in and it’s been interesting. we flew into san antonio and surprised c’s dad at the end of january. c mentioned the trip to 3 of his 5 siblings and his mama so it was really cute seeing the reactions from the others. i really enjoyed his nieces and nephews. i also got to see my folks & sister so i was happy. the only sucky thing about coming home from a family trip is that i was numb from not seeing our families and being with them made me realize how much we really miss them. you might not know what i mean but it’s been a hard couple days being home…

i’ve also started to read more. c & i both finished “the tao of wu” by the rza of the wu tang clan. i’m about to read it again. so much of it made sense…

twitter is insane. it reminds me of AOL 3.0 days when aol chatting was popular. most of the people i follow are longtime internet friends, porn stars, regular & reality show celebs… some celebs i’ve seen in a completely better light and some so-called celebs need to learn to shut the fuck up.

twitter has also proven to be a goldmine for me. it’s important to follow companies too. a few months back i won an obey x obama shirt and stickers from @thegiantpeach, got an autographed photo from porn star @enterbelladonna and just last week, i won $25 in vouchers from @ElPolloLocoInc ! and because friends RT (retweet) i got a coupon for a free candy bar from mars.

back to what i was saying about celebrities on twitter. the biggest celebrity FAIL is @officialTila : i used to think she annoyed just me with her ridiculousness but i kept seeing other people i follow talk shit about her too. she is so fucking full of herself. i get that she does stuff for charities but how many times do you have to pat yourself on the fucking back. bitch please. and while i could give a rat’s ass about @PerezHilton – she sure seems like she’s obsessed with him. every chance she gets to talk shit about him she’s on it, like some crazy hoodrat radar… when that shit popped off about him and will.i.am she was all over it, same with michael jackson. do us a favor and take a hiatus from twitter.

while following celebrities is sometimes awful and turns your brain into mush, there are some awesome times to be had like live free chats. i’ve watched dj muggs of cypress hill/soul assassins do a live set, ice-t talk about law & order svu, new stuff he’s been working on and show off his teen son who he affectionately calls lil’ iceberg AND just today, raekwon of the wu tang clan talked about having to push back only built for cuban links 2 to september 8th because of sample issues.

i worked the affliction fight on saturday and i felt like i was at a party lol probably one of the rarest times that i had so much fun at work. trump and golden boy know how to throw an event. i hope they decide to come back to us soon…forget vegas!!! i could not get enough.

my observations:

ticket time said the event started at 430pm but the first fight was actually at 4pm. doors were at 330pm but there were maybe 200 people in the building. this could’ve been because monster jam was across the street and there was traffic OR people like showing up late. if it was because of angels stadium traffic, you might want to look at their schedule before coming to any event at my work.
affliction has one up over UFC. all the ufc fights i’ve worked, i’d say 90% in attendance are white. not saturday night, big ups my people for coming out!
alcohol cut-off is early for these types of events because of the start times for the east coast so keep in mind you will need to pound the minute you walk in the door lol saturday’s cut-off was 730pm. what can ya do? not make a big deal ok? thems are the rules!
our alcohol prices were $12 for pacifico or corona bombers. well drinks are $8.75; premium drinks are $9.50. i think large draft beers are $9 each. portable bars are cash only. lines for alcohol are usually INSANE. ya’ll know how to tip, my bartenders were HAPPY.
when shopping for tickets, your best deal is to get CLUB level seats. this is where all the vip parties are at. i saw so many fighters and celebrities in passing. the view isn’t bad either. club is also home to the jack daniels bar & grill and their cut-off wasn’t till 930PM! see that? 2 extra hours of maximum drinking.
sadly i didn’t see that many hoodrats! where ya at?

my celeb sightings were: actor michael duncan clarke, fighter kimo leopoldo, porn legend ron jeremy, heidi & spencer (don’t ask!) AND my fave encounter!!! musicians rza of the wu tang clan & shavo of system of a down. yessir meeting the rza made my whole year. i totally (yuck word but necessary in describing) fangirl’d out. i don’t care, it was worth it LOL i’m sure there were more celebs i passed by but didn’t know who they were…

i didn’t hear shit on the radio about fights and didn’t see any drama so THANK YOU for behaving. see, you spend all that money on tickets, a new outfit, parking, drinks and you have a good time. that’s the way to do it!!!

everything died down when the big fight came on so i was lucky enough to watch. i’ll say it again, FEDOR IS A FUCKING BEAST!
