after a week of trying to sell the BlogHer conference to C (& BEGGING) – he finally gave in! me so happy ^_^ his main complaint was both of us taking off from work again! i don’t blame him, the past few years have been full of us taking weeks off here and [...]
every summer my work gets the circus. i think in the whole state of california we get it for the longest stopover – this year was 11 days. even working one day of it is too damn long.
my observations:

for the most part i LOVE working concerts. i guess the technicals are a big part of it. the venue changes the rules for the night, i like watching the set up and breakdown, checking out & trippin’ out on the tour rider, scoping out the tour passes and of course, the excitement of [...]
PBR (Professional Bull Riders) rolled into my work last friday & saturday..all of us usually bitch because the smell is so nasty but i love checking out the bulls!
my observations:
friday nights are DEAD. ticket sales places attendance somewhere around 5500. depending on stage configuration, our arena can hold up to 17,700 people! saturday [...]
to make a long story short and to keep me from getting pissed off all over again… some fucking loser copied the magnetic strip on C’s debit card and withdrew $983 from our bank account. $480 on the 27th and $503 on the 28th. we went into the bank on the 28th to stop withdrawals [...]

worked the supercross opener at anaheim stadium last night. what an adventure it was. gates opened at 4pm and it started to rain soon after that so thousands of people were mingling on terrace level to stay out of the rain. the gridlock caused me to take forever to get to my locations…i was [...]
